The Office of the Faculty Ombudsperson is a resource created by the Office of the Provost and the Faculty Senate to assist the faculty in resolving issues. The current Faculty Ombudsperson, Joanna Lombard, serves as an independent, neutral, and confidential resource for the faculty at the University of Miami Coral Gables and Rosenstiel campuses. In assisting faculty, the Ombudsperson may:
- Provide information regarding individual School, College and University resources
- Offer advice, counsel and mentoring
- Engage in fact-finding on an informal basis
- Assist in resolving concerns, problems and conflicts
